BERRIES ARE SO GOOD & GOOD FOR US! They are loaded with antioxidants, have anti-inflammatory properties, help improve our memory & coordination & fight cancer. One thing to keep in mind is that berries are some of the most heavily pesticide/fungicide sprayed fruits so it’s best to buy organic! EAT MORE GREENS!
That was the focus of Thursday night’s class & it was so fun & delicious. I love helping people see how many yummy & creative ways there are to eat greens ... it’s so much more than salad! Here’s a picture of me making the spinach & cilantro soup & then 2 participants enjoying their collard wraps with an almond butter dipping sauce. GREENS RAWK! 
Elizabeth knows how to make healthy raw food taste AMAZING! Her recipes and creativity make you feel like you are eating gourmet meals! We are hoping she can show some local chefs how to make some raw dishes to expand Portland's already amazing repetoire! So excited to go eat my raw leftovers!!! Yummmm!

Tonight was my first raw food class since launching my business, Girl Gone Raw, & it was so fun--it felt so good to share my passion with others! A year ago at this time I hadn’t even discovered raw food ... who knew this was around the corner for me. I had a wonderful group of students & we had a blast talking, eating, making food & eating some more. We had a great mix of recipes & if you are interested in raw food & want a good intro class, this is it!
The pictures show the veggie maki rolls & 2 different kinds of fudge balls. So yummy!
Raw foods are the basics of our ancient ancestors and they take the body and mind back to our natural state. As a serious Foodie, I can attest to Elizabeth’s recipes as simple, flavorful and exciting on the pallet.
